Artist Statement
Hello, my name is Clinton Greene. I am a Pyramid Lake Paiute and a self taught artist.
I am currently incarcerated in Indian Springs Correctional Center outside of Las Vegas, NV, which has been an influence on my art for the past 12 years. I was born in Shurz, Nevada but spent most of my life in Nixon, NV so the rugged rez ways is alive and well in me ;)
I work mostly in pen and ink on 9" x 11" paper and work with what is available to me
Behind the Walls. What inspires me is, even though I've made more than a few mistakes in my life and I am lost in time, I still matter. For my family and the brothers and sisters caught up in these iron houses, I repreZent through my art, and it makes me want to be a better person.

I thank you for taking the time out of your lives to see what I've created with just imagination, pencil, and pen.
